A new house

We've been through a lot of upheaval in the recent months, all for a new house to call home. We talked, we negotiated, we put our house on the market, and kept it sparkly clean for 7 weeks before closing. We visited model homes, flipped through dozens of home magazines, picked flooring, tile, paint, cabinets, grout, doors, bricks, carpet, railing, moulding, appliances, outlet placement...

This weekend the behind the scenes work of the summer turned into something tangible. It's hardly ready for move in, but it sure seems like a huge leap toward what until now has been an invisible goal.

Behold...

Isn't it magnificent. :-) So cozy.

LOL...I can't wait to watch the progress of your new house. I must say I am a little bummed that it is farther away from us though.

Yes, it is farther away from all of our friends and family, except for the Heberts (of course) and my sister. But, the good news is that in all the cases we've checked it will be faster due to the proximity to highways. You might be the one exception since we were so close to 380 before. :-(
