Video

Lisa got a video camera for her birthday this year, and she's been filming events/vacations since November. However, 5 hours of raw footage isn't much use to anyone as-is, so we've started the process of editing it.

I purchased Final Cut Express 4 for her as a late Christmas present and that night we created this video of Robert's first haircut. It's hosted on smugmug and is hi-def (720p, the source material is 1080i), so it's a large download. If you have broadband you can select the "Web" size to stream the video...if you have Verizon FIOS then just stream the hi-def version :-) Click the image below to see the video.

Adorable! We loved watching your sweet son engaged in such a precious and tender milestone. We were so touched when the UPS delivery man stopped to watch for a minute and couldn't seem to stop smiling. The still pictures at the end were darling and we both laughed out loud at the first of the three. That little boy is something really special! Thanks for letting us peek in on this special time!

Thanks!

The UPS guy really could have ruined the whole thing if he'd been more grumpy or impatient about waiting for his signature, but he's one of my favorite parts of the video now because of his beaming smile. It fits the song so nicely. We'd gathered a small crowd by the end. There was an elderly couple standing behind me commenting about his every move.

Having just watched a video of my brother's early Christmases, I can imagine how fondly we'll look back on this clip. This charming little baby will look so much like the grown man he becomes. Yet, we can't even imagine him learning to walk at this point.
